Flash Secret Agents Needed
Viewpoint Command Systems develops 3D/2D tactical command software for use by Federal/State/Local governments, Homeland Security and the Military. Software that helps save lives and preserve property.
Viewpoint is seeking Flash Secret Agents that understand the application development process and can work as part of a team. We are looking for Expert-Level Flash developers that have real world Object Oriented Programming experience developing Flash applications, creating class libraries and objects, building Flash components, database integration (MySQL via MDM-Zinc) and writing re-usable code. These are Senior FLASH ActionScript 2.0 developer positions, not graphic design. If you think a "foreign key" gets you in our European office, this position is probably not for you. But, if you can program ActionScript in your sleep, you really need to be a Secret Agent on the team developing the most unique Flash-based applications on the market today!
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop database-driven Flash applications using Object Oriented Programming software development methodologies.
• Create documented code that can be understood and reused by other developers.
• Work with visual designers to implement graphical user interfaces and database interactions.
• Produce technical specification and requirements documents.
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years programming experience (ActionScript or Java preferred).
• Minimum 4 years Flash experience.
• Expert working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming in ActionScript 2.0, Flash MX components, MySQL (or MS-SQL/equivalent)
• Ability to architect relational databases for complex applications.
Preferred:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
• A strong Engineering or Business background.
• PHP (or ASP) / SQL, XML, JavaScript coding.
• Experience with Geographical Information Systems, mapping.
• Experience using 3D software.
Other Experience:
• Windows, Unix/Linux, C++, .net, Visual Basic.
• DHTML/CSS/WAP, XHTML/XML/XSLT.
• W3C DOM methods and properties.
Location: Birmingham, MI.
Position: Full-time, on-site (no telecommute).
